iGROWiGROWTM - a first-of-its-kind in India is a unique approach to urban-farming pioneered by Purna Organics. In today’s well-packaged world of mass-production, it is almost impossible to tell the difference between pure produce and pesticide-laden harvest. Over time though, the poisonous effects of chemical-infested plant food show up as deficiencies, imbalances and illnesses. The only way to counter this predicament is to ensure that we get 100% chemical-free and fresh vegetables by growing our own food. And iGROW is the answer.
iGROW is not just a set of products – rather, it is a way of life that demands a culture change. For starts, iGROW is designed to help families meet their daily nutrient-need with fresh, organic produce that is 100% healthy. A typical set-up in a modest space of 64 sq ft can supply 60 – 70% of the vegetables required for a family of 4-5. In fact, we’ve recently brought out a new innovation in order to take iGROW into apartments, where an area of 24 sq ft (area of a mattress) is enough to supply 60 – 70% of the vegetable requirements of a family of 4!
Going forward, it is our dream to ensure that every urban space, be it a home, school or even a corporate office, can embrace the iGROW concept and make it part of life. That’s why we have invested heavily in Research and Development to create innovative products and reliable services. These products not only take lesser space, they need very little maintenance to sustain (5 – 10 minutes per day). That’s far lesser than the time required to actually procure vegetables from the market! More importantly, the simple techniques and time-demands ensure that the process of growing one's own food is as easy as biting into the crunchy produce. In fact, we’d go to the extent of saying the process is literally ‘child’s play’ – even your kids can manage an iGROW!
